MARYLEBONE VILLA
In this large West London home, the interior was completely remodelled and refurbished including the reinstatement of period woodwork and plasterwork after years of neglect and decay. The kitchen was relocated from the basement to an airier location on the ground floor to become the central hub for household and family activities. The owners, wanting a balance between traditional details and modern simplicity opted for plain doors and boarded panels to complement the complexity of the Georgian mouldings. Worktops, backsplash and sink, in figured Arabescato marble are a lively contrast to an otherwise restrained colour palette, our ‘Relish’. Rich highlights are provided by the unlacquered brass of the hardware, light fittings and range cooker.
