Ivy House
A collaboration with Interior Designer Nicola Harding, this 17th Century country house was an extensive renovation project culminating in a warm, welcoming and relaxed family home. Centered around the open kitchen space with adjacent dining area, glazed doors lead to a vegetable garden, inviting fresh produce for suppers and home cooking. The olive green paint colours reflect the surrounding gardens while creating an inviting and informal atmosphere. The sink centered on the window has cupboard space, bin and dishwasher close to hand. Our Spitalfields cupboards with simple Folgate doors offer storage for all necessary items with deep drawers close to the range cooker for pots and pans with wide utensil drawers each side. The central worktable acts as a perfect link between fridge, sink and cooker offering work surface for food prep’ and serving. Plenty of drawers beneath provide storage for crockery, dry foods and the smaller kitchen appliances while offering space to pull up a stool and share conversation. A counter standing cupboard with spice racks ensures oils and ingredients are close to hand while cooking, with the remaining wall space left free for artwork and wall lights, adding to the informality of the room. A space to feel enveloped in calm, to enjoy family, friendship and sharing food together.
