COLOUR COLLECTION No.5
Plain English knows a thing or two about time travel. For this range of paints, we step through an 18th century portal and go for a walk in the park, hello sky! hello trees! Eight colours all about the things we see along the way – bosky meadows, high walled backyards and mossy tracks, curtained doorways, gloss painted passages and washing lines. This collection was put together and developed by Sue Skeen and Katie Fontana.

43. CARBOLIC
Scrubbed - a block of green carbolic soap, a stiff brush and plenty of elbow grease.

44. COARSE CLOTH
Un-dyed hemp or a sort of lumpy porridge colour.

45. SHRUBBERY
Dense, leafy and perfect for assignations

46. COLD HANDS
Forgotten your mittens?

47. DOG-EARED
Things we love a lot - positively antique, in a good way

48. WELL RUBBED
Like a prize conker - or something else familiar in the hand all burnished and glossy.

49. DRABBLED
Off the beaten track - the green you find in damp muddy places.

50. SPLASH IN A BUCKET
Fill a metal bucket with water - look at the sky reflected in it.
