Home Farm Barn

Settled within the Suffolk countryside this simple and understated Long House kitchen sits with ease beneath a dramatic vaulted ceiling, while floor to ceiling windows reflect the nature of the inside onto the outside.

The Osea Island embraces elements of the buildings agricultural past. Hand painted in a muted rose to accentuate a set of hand crafted Oak Fruit Trays, in which to store seasonal fruit and vegetables, while ample cupboards, drawers and shelving keep all necessary culinary equipment tidily away. A generous slab of Antique Sawn Belgian Fossil stone provides work surface for preparing and serving food with an area of Oak to invite you to sit and enjoy the expansive views with a warm cup.

The pantry doorway is cleverly concealed within painted Tongue & Groove panelling from which Long House Cupboards continue, hand painted in ‘Mash’ with simple Combs doors and burnished Tourmaline ironmongery. These quietly conceal an integrated cool drawer along with other kitchen essentials. A glossy black Aga welcomes with its whistling kettle beneath a simple shelf on strut brackets, offering opportunity to display selected treasures, while honed black stone worktops continue each side.

Two gloss painted stools enrich the kitchen with a dramatic zing of ‘Pretty Pickle’ bringing the fresh green of the countryside into the kitchen all year round.
